The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest participates in the ERASMUS+ program "Geology for the Visually Impaired and Disabled”

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest in the framework of actions for people with vision impairment and mobility problems, participates in the ERASMUS + program "Geology for the Visually Impaired and Disabled”.

It is an important program that will include the design and implementtion of mobile educational applications aimed at acquainting people with visual impairments and mobility problems with our geological heritage and geosites found in UNESCO Global Geoparks.

The program will take place in Lesvos from 19 to 23 July 2021 at the premises of the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean and at the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest .At the same time, the program includes visits to the protected area of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos and the open-air parks of the Petrified Forest, as well as to the impressive geosites of Lesvos UNESCO Global Geopark.
