The nature excursions organised by the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest -Kalloni Enviromental Information Center are being continued, aiming to the acquaintance of the public with the natural wealth of Lesvos Geopark.
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest in the framework of its actions for the accessibility of the visually impaired and people with mobility problems in the monuments of the geological heritage and especially in the geosites of the Lesvos Geopark, participates in the ERASMUS + program Geology for the Visually Impaired and Disabled».
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the aiming to promote the acquaintance of the public with the natural wealth of Lesvos Geopark, invite you to bird watching excursions this weekend in the protected area of the Gulf of Gera (Natura 2000 network).
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest invites you at a scientific excursion at the Bali-Alonia Petrified Fores on Saturday 23h October 2021 at 11.30. The excursion initially includes scientific presentation at the resting site next to the entrance of the Park and then a tour and acquaintance with the impressive fossil bearing sites.
At the same time, the Museum utilizing the internet and social networks, begins a social media campaign with the weekly presentation of the fossil bearing sites of the Bali-Alonia Petrified Forest Park.
Children and adults had the opportunity to become familiar with Forest Art-Nature Art, get inspired by the natural wealth of Lesvos and create their own art works during the three day event organized by the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest at forests of Lesvos Island Unesco Global Geopark.
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest organizes a three-day event dedicated to "Forest Art - Nature Art" which highlights the characteristic features of the forest ecosystems of Lesvos - UNESCO Global Geopark.
