Educational Activity “Young Paleontologists”
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest in the framework of actions for people with vision impairment and mobility problems, participates in the ERASMUS + program "Geology for the Visually Impaired and Disabled”.
It is an important program that will include the design and implementtion of mobile educational applications aimed at acquainting people with visual impairments and mobility problems with our geological heritage and geosites found in UNESCO Global Geoparks.

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest invites you to another weekend full of many activities for both young and old ones. The activities will be implemented in the facilities of the Museum in Sigri and in the open-air Plaka Petrified Forest Park.

Educational Activity “Geologic Time Scale and the Lesvos Petrified Forest”
The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrfied Forest was awarded at the Landscape Awards 2021, the first Greek awards that highlight the contribution of landscape architecture in strengthening the links between nature, space and humans, for its interventions for the protection and promotion of the Lesvos Petrified Forest Park.
The mountain running race Αgiasos trail run took place with so many participants at the area of Agiasos, on Sunday 4th July 2021. The race was co-organized by the Gymnastics Association of Agiasos "OLYMPUS", the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the North Aegean Region. It was supported by the Lesvos Runners Association, the Hellenic Rescue Team of Lesvos Branch, the Agiasos Anagnostirio and many volunteers.
